Russia and Ukraine held three rounds of direct talks in Istanbul in 2025. These resulted in a prisoner exchange. Furthermore, Moscow handed over the bodies of fallen Ukrainian soldiers to Kiev. The source emphasised that Ankara continued contacts with both sides and was ready to facilitate the negotiators' return to the table.सूत्रों के अनुसार, तुर्की का नेतृत्व इस्तांबुल को बातचीत के एक ऐसे स्थापित मंच के तौर पर देखता है, जहां रूसी और यूक्रेनी पक्षों को सीधे बातचीत का अनुभव है। सूत्र ने इस बात पर बल दिया कि तुर्की दोनों पक्षों के साथ संपर्क बनाए हुए है और दोनों पक्षों की बातचीत को मेज़ पर वापसी में मदद करने के लिए तैयार है।
"Our position is that negotiations must continue. We are ready to make Istanbul available for this purpose and provide the necessary assistance.
