Nagpur, Nov. 25 -- Maharashtra Forest Minister Ganesh Naik on Tuesday said the state government is considering establishing a zoological museum in every district amid rising incidents of human-wildlife conflict across Vidarbha and western Maharashtra.
Speaking to reporters here after a review meeting with senior forest officials, Naik said attacks by tigers and leopards have increased, leading to a higher number of rescued animals being housed at treatment centres. The Gorewada rescue centre in Nagpur has reached its capacity, prompting discussions on creating district-level facilities.
