Vijayawada, Oct. 23 -- Opposition YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) leaders on Friday lodged a complaint with State Election Commissioner Anil Chandra Punetha, alleging violence, obstruction of nominations and electoral irregularities by Telugu Desam Party (TDP) workers.
Addressing the media outside the State Election Commission (SEC) office, MLCs Lella Appi Reddy and Kalpalatha Reddy, along with Employees and Pensioners Wing state president Nalamaaru Chandrasekhar Reddy, sought immediate intervention by the poll authority.
Appi Reddy alleged that YSRCP candidates were obstructed from filing nominations even on the final day, while opposition leaders were placed under house arrest and ruling-party candidates were allowed unrestricted access. He ...
