Kolhapur/Ratnagiri, Aug. 26 -- In a shocking incident at Shantinagar in Ratnagiri today, a youth allegedly murdered his mother before attempting to take his own life due to mounting financial stress, police said.
Police identified the accused as Aniket Teli, who was reportedly under severe pressure after failing to pay loan installments. In despair, he attacked his mother, Puja Shahikant Teli, with a sharp weapon, inflicting multiple blows that killed her on the spot.
