Nagpur, March 16 -- An 18-year-old youth allegedly died by suicide after consuming rat poison at a shopping mall in Nagpur, police said on Monday.
The deceased has been identified as Yash Sunil Zhade, a resident of Jawahar Nagar in the Manewada area.
According to police, he had been missing since Saturday afternoon, following which his family lodged a missing person complaint at the Hudkeshwar police station.
His body was later discovered on Sunday on the second floor of Empress Mall in the city.
Officials said a water bottle and rat poison were recovered from the spot.
Family members told police that although Zhade's Class 12 examinations concluded on March 11, he had been leaving home over the past few days claiming he had exams.
