Lucknow, Sept. 2 -- Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath today took cognizance of the lathicharge on ABVP students in Barabanki district.
He expressed his displeasure over the action taken on the students and has ordered removal of several police officers, including the CO, Harshit Chauhan.
The Chief Minister also instructed Divisional Commissioner and Inspector General of Police (IG), Ayodhya, to investigate the matter.
SHO Kotwali Ramkishan Rana and Chowki Incharge were put on line duty while other policemen involved in the lathicharge have been attached to police line.
Meanwhile, ABVP has announced a massive march from Lucknow University to Hazratganj today.
