Lucknow, June 24 -- Senior Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader and Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Singh launched a scathing attack on the Yogi Adityanath government over the Aliganj fire incident in Lucknow. He visited KGMU and met some of the injured.
Sanjay Singh questioned whether the demolition order for the building that caught fire was issued in 2016. "Did it lack firefighting systems? Was the building dilapidated? On whose orders was the order withdrawn? Why did the fire engines arrive late?"The AAP MP questioned that after 15 people had lost their lives, would the SIT probe prove fruitful.
"Such fire incidents increase during the summer, but the Yogi government, which operates bulldozers, has no firefighting system," he charged.
