Bengaluru, June 21 -- Describing yoga as a "science for inner well-being" rather than a religion, philosophy or belief system, Isha Foundation founder Sadhguru on Sunday called for greater awareness of yogic practices as the world observed the 12th International Day of Yoga (IDY).
Addressing the occasion, Sadhguru said yoga offers a scientific approach to enhancing human experience from within and should not be viewed merely as a physical exercise.
"What we call 'yoga' is not a philosophy, not an ideology, not a belief system, and not a religion, nor is it about twisting and turning your body as a lot of people seem to understand," he said.
