Chennai, Aug. 24 -- More than three months after suffering a stunning loss in his stronghold of Kolathur Assembly constituency in Chennai city, Opposition DMK President MK Stalin on Monday knocked the doors of the Madras High Court challenging the victoryof ruling TVK candidate V.S. Babu from the seat.

Stalin, who had completed a hat-trick of wins from Kolathur seat since it came into being in 2011 and eyeing for a record fourth successive term, lost to Babu, also a former DMK MLA and a known face, by a margin of 8,795 votes. Babu polled 82,997 votes as against Stalin's 74,202.
