Sanaa/Riyadh, Sept. 9 -- Iran-backed Houthi militants said Saudi Arabia carried out more than 30 air strikes on several parts of Yemen on Wednesday, a day after the group's fighters launched a series of major attacks on Saudi Arabia that injured dozens of people.

"Saudi enemy aircraft launched 32 airstrikes on various areas across the governorates of Marib, Al-Jawf, Taiz and Hodeida over the past few hours," the Houthis' Almasirah television reported.

Saudi Arabia has not officially commented on the reported strikes.

Saudi authorities said on Tuesday that Houthi missile and drone attacks had caused temporary shutdowns at oil facilities and injured 73 people. The Houthis then reported a wave of Saudi air strikes in response.
