Bengaluru, June 26 -- Expelled BJP MLA Basanagouda Patil Yatnal on Friday launched a fresh attack on the Karnataka BJP leadership, alleging that "Mir Sadiqs" were operating within the party and were responsible for its repeated electoral setbacks, in the wake of the Legislative Council election defeat.
Rejecting rumours that he had cross-voted in favour of the Congress, Yatnal said the allegations were being deliberately spread to shield those who had "betrayed" the party from within.
"Our own party has some 'Mir Sadiqs' hiding inside it. Instead of pointing fingers at others, the leadership should first identify those who systematically ensured the BJP's defeat in the Council election and those who backed them," he said in a statement po...
