Bengaluru, April 29 -- Karnataka MLC Yathindra Siddaramaiah on Wednesday sparked fresh debate over the leadership issue in the ruling Congress by asserting that demands for a Dalit Chief Minister would intensify if Chief Minister Siddaramaiah is removed from office.

Speaking amid continuing speculation over a possible leadership change in Karnataka, Yathindra, son of the Chief Minister, said the Congress high command must take into account social justice considerations before making any decision on the state's leadership.
