Bengaluru, June 16 -- A fresh political storm erupted in Karnataka on Tuesday after former MLA Yathindra Siddaramaiah compared the ideology of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) with the mindset of the Taliban, alleging that both seek to impose a uniform interpretation of religion and suppress diversity of belief.Speaking to reporters, Yathindra, son of Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, contended that the RSS was attempting to define Hinduism through a single prescribed framework, contrary to the faith's traditionally diverse and pluralistic character.
