Hazaribag, April 9 -- Former external affairs minister Yashwant Sinha on Thursday questioned the Centre's response to the ongoing US-Iran conflict, saying India's position on the issue had remained unclear despite its possible strategic and economic implications.

He said continued tensions in West Asia could affect India's interests, particularly through higher crude oil prices and possible inflationary pressure, and argued that India should prioritise its national interest in securing affordable energy supplies.
