Bengaluru, March 24 -- Royal Challengers Bengaluru on Tuesday threw its weight behind pacer Yash Dayal despite confirming that he will not join the squad for the upcoming Indian Premier League season at this stage, with reports linking his absence to ongoing legal issues.

Mo Bobat is RCB Director of Cricket said Dayal is dealing with a "personal situation", reiterating that the franchise continues to support the player and remains in regular contact with him.

"Just to confirm that Yash will not be joining the squad. He is going through a personal situation currently. We've been very supportive of him and he remains under contract. We will continue to stay in touch with him," Bobat told reporters in a press conference.
