Chennai, Aug. 15 -- On the solemn occasion of the 80th Independence Day, General Officer Commanding, Dakshin Bharat Area, Lt Gen V Sreehari laid a wreath at the Victory War Memorial, Chennai, paying homage to the bravehearts who made the supreme sacrifice in service of the Nation.
The ceremony was marked by the presence of Indian Navy Flag Officer Commanding Tamil Nadu and Puducherry Naval Area (FOTNA) Rear Admiral Upal Kundu, Air Officer Commanding of Indian Air Force Station at Tambaram, Air Commodore Tapan Sharma, Commander of Indian Coast Guard (East), Inspector General Yoginder Dhaka, Veer Naris, veterans, NCC cadets and school children.
