Kolkata, Aug. 13 -- The World 25K Kolkata will enter its second decade this year, with the 11th edition of the World Athletics Gold Label race scheduled for December 20. The event, promoted by Procam International, will be flagged off from the iconic Red Road.
Registrations for both the physical and virtual races opened on Thursday through the official event website. The race has, over the past decade, grown beyond a sporting event, helping build Kolkata's running culture while promoting fitness, women's participation and the spirit of giving.
West Bengal Sports Minister Indranil Khan said the event provides young athletes with an opportunity to witness and draw inspiration from some of the world's best competitors.
