Hyderabad, March 24 -- IT and Industries Minister D. Sridhar Babu today informed the Telangana Assembly that major infrastructure works are being taken up in Hyderabad to address growing traffic congestion and improve connectivity.

Replying during Question Hour on behalf of Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy, the Minister said 26 works, including flyovers, ROBs, RUBs, underpasses and roads, have been sanctioned under the H-CITI initiative at an estimated cost of Rs 7,032 crore.

He said 49 link roads have also been sanctioned under Phase-III in two packages at a cost of Rs 1,500 crore.

In addition, three elevated corridors are being taken up by HMDA within Hyderabad city limits at an estimated cost of Rs 7,406 crore, of which Rs 120 crore ha...
