Bokaro, Oct. 30 -- A contractual worker was seriously injured in an accident at the Bokaro Steel Limited (BSL) plant in Jharkhand today morning, reportedly due to operational negligence during a shift change.
According to official sources, the injured worker has been identified as Debashish Roy, 45, a native of West Bengal. Roy's right hand was severed near the wrist when a fellow worker accidentally operated a machine. The mishap occurred towards the end of the night shift.
Immediately after the incident, Roy was rushed to Bokaro General Hospital, where he received first aid. Later, the plant management referred him to Apollo Hospital, Kolkata, for advanced medical treatment.
