Panchula, July 12 -- A worker was killed in a gruesome incident after his neck became trapped in a lift at a sweet shop in Haryana's Hisar on Saturday, police said.
The victim died on the spot in what police are initially treating as an accident.
The deceased has been identified as Jasbir, a resident of Khumba Khera village in Hisar district.
According to preliminary information, Jasbir was inside or operating the lift when it suddenly jerked, causing his neck to become trapped in the lift mechanism. The impact was so severe that he suffered fatal injuries and died instantly.
Police said they received information about the incident and rushed to the spot. Jasbir's family members also reached the shop after being informed of the tragedy....
