New Delhi, June 22 -- Skipper Harmanpreet Kaur admitted that dropped catches proved costly in India's six-wicket loss to South Africa in the ICC Women's T20 World Cup 2026, but urged her teammates to remain positive as they look ahead to their remaining group-stage matches.
Defending 158 at Old Trafford, India had South Africa under pressure early in the chase before crucial missed chances allowed Marizanne Kapp and Tazmin Brits to take control. Brits was dropped on 18, while Kapp survived two opportunities on 25 and 65 before going on to score a match-winning unbeaten 81 and guide the Proteas to victory.
