Raipur, Aug. 5 -- A Women's Awareness Camp was organised on Wednesday at the Gond Samaj Community Hall in Abhanpur of Raipur district where the importance of maternal health, nutrition and child care was highlighted.
The programme began with an invocation to Goddess Saraswati followed by the ceremonial lighting of the lamp. As part of the camp, 'God Bharai'ceremonies for pregnant women and Annaprashan rituals for children were conducted by the chief guest.
Participants were encouraged to adopt healthy practices for the well being of mothers and children. Hygiene kits were distributed to adolescent girls, while beneficiaries of the Sukanya Samriddhi Yojana also received kits. The girls were encouraged to remain aware about education, healt...
