Varanasi, Jan. 25 -- Varanasi is set to mark Republic Day with a strong display of women's empowerment as the January 26 parade will be led entirely by women police personnel.
The parade will feature around 400 women, including constables, sub-inspectors, and commandos. Trainee IPS officer Mansi Dahiya will serve as the First in Command.
Speaking ahead of the event, Dahiya said, "I am proud to be a trainee woman officer and to have the opportunity to lead the Varanasi Police on Republic Day. I am not alone; I am joined by approximately 400 female constables, sub-inspectors, commandos, and others.
