Pune, Nov. 1 -- Giving women leadership and decision-making positions in public festival committees can bring positive changes in the way festivals are organised, said Sandeep Khardekar, president of Creative Foundation.
He was speaking at a programme organised by Creative Foundation in association with Finolex Pipes and Fittings, during which useful materials were distributed to various public festival committees.
Women in such organisations celebrating Ganeshotsav, Navratri and birth and death anniversaries of great personalities would take decisions keeping in mind social responsibility, including noise pollution, environmental protection, sanctity of festivals and public decorum, he said.
