Patna, Sept. 19 -- Bihar Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary today said the state's women were progressing rapidly and their increasing economic, social and political participation was an important indicator of Bihar's changing social landscape.
Addressing a function organised to mark the 25th foundation day of the Bihar State Commission for Women, Choudhary said the commission's work in protecting women's rights and dignity was commendable.
The Chief Minister inaugurated the silver jubilee celebrations, during which a short film on the commission's 25-year journey was screened. He also released a special postage stamp on the commission in collaboration with the Department of Posts and unveiled its souvenir.
