Solapur, Dec. 27 -- : A woman has approached the Solapur Civil Court seeking divorce from her husband, who is currently lodged in jail in connection with a murder case. The matter is being described as the first case of its kind in the state.
According to the divorce petition, the accused husband was arrested by Mohol police on April 27, 2025, for allegedly attacking his in-laws with a knife late at night. The incident reportedly occurred while his parents-in-law were sleeping on the porch of their bungalow, allegedly after the accused refused to allow his wife to cohabit with him.
