Bhopal, Nov. 4 -- Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav has congratulated the police force on the surrender, in Balaghat district, of a hardcore woman Naxal who was carrying a reward of Rs 14 lakh.

Yadav said that Madhya Pradesh Police has achieved considerable success in controlling Maoist activities in the past as well.

On Saturday, in the Chauria Camp under Lanji Police Station, Naxal member Sunita surrendered along with weapons. This is the first surrender under the Madhya Pradesh Surrender, Rehabilitation and Relief Policy 2023. Even before this, rebels have capitulated in the state and the police have also been successful in neutralising ultras, it was officially learnt.
