Nashik, Oct. 22 -- Serious questions have been raised over Maharashtra's healthcare system after a 38-year-old woman, Madhu Bablu Sabad, from the Kathewadi area near Thengoda in Baglan taluka of Nashik district, was allegedly denied timely medical treatment following a leopard attack.
According to reports, the woman sustained serious injuries in the attack and had to travel to Gujarat for further treatment after complaints that a necessary vaccine was unavailable. She is currently reportedly in a coma and battling for her life.
The incident has raised concerns over the availability of emergency medical facilities and essential medicines in government hospitals, particularly when dealing with serious injuries caused by wildlife attacks.
