Chikkaballapur, July 14 -- A 65-year-old woman has been arrested for allegedly attempting to influence judicial proceedings by performing black magic on the chair of a judge inside a court in Chikkaballapur, police said on Tuesday.
The accused, identified as Manjula, allegedly entered the courtroom of the 1st Additional Senior Civil Judge and JMFC Court and sprinkled white mustard seeds, believed to have been used in black magic rituals, on the judge's chair.
The incident came to light after CCTV footage installed inside the courtroom allegedly captured the woman carrying out the act two days ago. Following the footage, the court administration alerted the police.
