Bengaluru, June 30 -- A 26-year-old woman was allegedly murdered at a homestay near Nandi Giridhama in Karnataka's Chikkaballapur district, triggering allegations of drug abuse, domestic violence and "love jihad" by her family, even as police on Tuesday said all claims were under investigation and no conclusions had yet been reached.
The victim, identified as Sai Surabhi, was found dead inside the homestay, while her boyfriend, Mohammed Sanjith Ali, was discovered seriously injured after an alleged suicide attempt. He has been admitted to the Chikkaballapur District Hospital and remains under police supervision.
