Chennai, Aug. 29 -- Tamil Nadu Chief Minister and DMK PresidentM K Stalin today said GST reforms could not serve the people withoutprotecting State revenues and that the benefits of lower rates mustdirectly reach the public.
Welcoming the intent of reforms during the meeting of Finance Ministersof eight Opposition-ruled states in State to debate on proposed GST raterationalistation, Mr Stalin said any reduction should not erode state revenuesthat sustain welfare programmes and infrastructure.
