Chennai, May 23 -- After a last few days of sweltering heat with the mercury level hovering past 105 Deg F causing inconvenience to the people, sudden windy conditions on Saturday morning brought dow the temeprature by a few notches, resulting in dust storm in several parts of the city, that affected visibility and caused disruptions in landing of flights from several destinations.
The sudden change in weather conditions, due to enhanedlow level wind convergence over North Tamil Nadu coast, after last few days of blazing sun offered the much needed respite to the people of this teeming megapolis as thick cloud cover kept the sun out, though it played hide and seek peeping out of the clouds on a couple of occasions.
