Bengaluru, Sept. 29 -- When an IIM Bangalore student was seriously injured in a road accident, an appeal for financial help went out to the institute's alumni community. What followed was less a fundraiser than a reminder of what a community can mean in a moment of crisis.
The appeal was shared on the morning of September 25, seeking Rs 18 lakh to support the injured student. Within just two hours, the target had been reached.
By the time the campaign concluded, 267 alumni had contributed Rs 20.11 lakh.
