Itanagar, June 3 -- As part of ongoing efforts to enforce the prohibition on all forms of fishing activities in West Siang district, the district administration conducted a seizure operation at a local market in Aalo on Tuesday, confiscating locally caught fish being sold there.
The operation was jointly carried out by Town Magistrate Jumkar Karbi, Assistant Commissioner, and Officer-in-Charge of Aalo Police Station, Inspector Yomken Riram. The drive formed part of a broader enforcement initiative to ensure strict compliance with the order banning fishing activities, which was issued by the District Magistrate in May 2026.
