Kolkata, Aug. 11 -- The West Bengal government will expand coverage of the Ayushman Bharat health insurance scheme and increase tie-ups with private hospitals and nursing homes to provide beneficiaries wider access to treatment, Health Minister Sharadwat Mukherjee said on Tuesday.
"We will increase the number of beneficiaries under Ayushman Bharat and expand tie-ups with private nursing homes and hospitals," Mukherjee said.
He said the government was looking at ways to widen the reach of the scheme and ensure that more eligible people could avail themselves of healthcare services through an expanded network of medical facilities.
