Kolkata, May 22 -- West Bengal Urban Development and Municipal Affairs Minister Agnimitra Paul on Friday chaired a high-level review meeting with senior officials of urban local bodies to assess the state's preparedness for the approaching monsoon and outline measures to prevent flooding and waterlogging across Bengal.

The meeting was attended by Additional Chief Secretary of Urban Development and Municipal Affairs department Khalil Ahmed, Kolkata Municipal Corporation (KMC) Commissioner Smita Pandey and senior officials from municipalities and municipal corporations across the state.

Several other officials joined through video conferencing.
