Kolkata, June 15 -- West Bengal chief minister Suvendu Adhikari inaugurated the three-day "Jana Kalyan Shivir" in Reyapara, Nandigram on Monday - the first large-scale citizen service outreach programme since assuming office five weeks before.

The programme, which will continue until June 17, is being conducted at 1,100 locations across the state where ministers and BJP legislators will attend camps in different blocks as part of the initiative.

According to the state government, the primary objective of the camps is to ensure that citizens receive the benefits of both Central and State welfare schemes in a transparent manner.
