Kolkata, June 27 -- : In a significant and unprecedented move in West Bengal's political and administrative landscape, the Shuvendu Adhikari government has announced a year-long statewide celebrations to mark the 125th birth anniversary of Syama Prasad Mookerjee.
The programme will be observed across all districts, blocks and educational institutions, including schools, colleges and universities.
The decision was taken in a state Cabinet meeting held on June 3 (Cabinet Decision No. 27), according to official sources in Nabanna.
Following this, the Information and Cultural Affairs Department issued a directive on June 23, signed by Additional Chief Secretary Manoj Kumar Agarwal, instructing immediate implementation.
