Kolkata, Oct. 31 -- The West Bengal government has extended by a month, till November 30, the deadline for its employees, pensioners and their enrolled beneficiaries under the West Bengal Health Scheme (WBHS) to surrender Swasthya Sathi and/or Ayushman Bharat cards and submit the prescribed declaration and proof of surrender.
The extension was announced in an order issued by the state Finance Department on October 30, after the government observed that a considerable number of employees, pensioners and their enrolled beneficiaries were yet to complete the surrender process and submit the requisite documents.
The original deadline was October 31, 2026, stipulated in the department's Order No. 92-F(MED)WB dated October 9, 2026.
