Puri, Aug. 27 -- Puri police today detained a devotee from West Bengal for secretly recording visuals of Sri Jagannath Temple using a spy camera hidden in his sunglasses.

Alert temple security personnel noticed the devotee capturing visuals of the Jagamohan inside the temple premises and immediately intervened. He was taken to the Simhadwar Police Station for questioning.

The devotee was identified as Arup Roy of 24 Parganas, West Bengal.

During interrogation, he admitted to recording the inner artifacts of the temple. Police seized his sunglasses fitted with the hidden camera, along with his mobile phone used in the operation.
