Kolkata, July 31 -- West Bengal Chief Minister Suvendu Adhikari today set an ambitious target for the state police, asking the force to strive to become the country's best despite financial constraints, while assuring officers and personnel of his government's full backing.
Addressing the annual "Bada Khana" programme at the Swami Vivekananda State Police Academy in Barrackpore, North 24 Parganas, Adhikari, who also holds the Home portfolio, praised the police for maintaining law and order and taking action against corruption under challenging circumstances.
