Burdwan, Sept. 25 -- West Bengal Chief Minister Suvendu Adhikari on Friday said the state would examine the legal provisions and work on a fresh draft of its Anti-Goonda Bill after it was returned by the President without assent.
Speaking to reporters on the sidelines of an administrative meeting in Burdwan, Adhikari said the government would take the next step after studying the relevant legal provisions.
"Anti-Goonda law exists in four other states. We will work through legal means. There will be no difficulty," he said, adding that the bill will be made effective after looking into legal provisions.
