Chennai, Oct. 20 -- The Well Marked Low Pressure area over Southwest Arabian Sea persisted and lay centred over the same region on Tuesday.
Met office said the system moved west-northwestwards during the past 12 hours and lay centred over the same region at 0530 hrs of today.
It is very likely to continue to move west-northwestwards maintaining its intensity of well marked low pressure area during the next12 hours. Thereafter, it is likely to continue to move further west-northwestwards as a low pressure area till tomorrow, and then west-southwestwards towards Somalia coast on October 22.
