Well Marked Low Pressure over Bay to recurve graduallt, Southern, Western Ghat dists of TN to get heavy rains

Chennai, Feb. 22 -- The Well Marked Low Pressure Area over the Bay of Bengal (BOB) persisted over the same regionand would recurve gradually in the next 48 hrs, even as Southern and Western Ghat districts of Tamil Nadu likely to get light to moderate rainfall till February 26.

In a latest update, Met office on Sunday said rainfall occurred at isolated places over Tamil Nadu and at a few places over South Coastal Tamil Nadu and at isolated places over rest of Tamil Nadu, while dry weather prevailed over Puducherry and Karaikal area.

There was no large change in minimum temperature over Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Karaikal area during the past 24 hours and they were above normal by 2-4 Deg C in these places.
