Chennai, Dec. 1 -- The Cyclonic Storm Ditwah over the Bay, which has weakened intoa Deep Depression will weaken further into a Depression in the next 12 hrs, even as heavyrainslash Chennai City and suburbs since last night..
The Deep Depression now lay centred about 50 km east-southeast of Chennai and wouldmove northwards parallel to North Tamil Nadu, Pududchery and South Andhra Pradeshcoasts.
In a latest update, Met office today said rainfall occurred at a few places and at most placesover North Coastal Tamilnadu and at a few places over Interior Tamilnadu and at isolatedplaces over South Coastal Tamilnadu, rest of Tamilnadu, Puducherry and over Karaikal area.
