Lucknow, April 16 -- Samajwadi Party National President Akhilesh Yadav said that while his party supports the Women's Reservation Bill, they oppose the accompanying bills regarding delimitation and the 2011 census.

He called the bill a covert scheme of intelligence agencies and raised suspicion over the hasty manner in which this bill has been introduced.

Yadav in a statement on Thursday stated that the BJP is against the Dalit, Backward, and, therefore, against half the population of the country.

He said that the government is running away from conducting a caste census. If a caste census is conducted, the public will start demanding reservations. The BJP has brought the bill to avoid that, Yadav said.
