New Delhi, Sept. 5 -- Former India and Chennai Super Kings batter Suresh Raina has backed the BCCI's policy of not allowing active Indian cricketers to participate in overseas franchise T20 leagues, saying the Indian Premier League has grown to a level where the country's players no longer need to look elsewhere.
Raina said there was a time when he would have welcomed an opportunity to play in overseas leagues and had even come close to doing so. However, he believes the situation has changed considerably, with the IPL now attracting leading international players and establishing itself asthe dominant force in franchise cricket.
