Kolkata, June 17 -- West Bengal Chief minister Suvendu Adhikari on Wednesday said his government would do a balancing act in ensuring security for the people while simultaneously protecting the police by modernising the force, augmenting the infrastructure and going for fresh recruitments.

"We will ensure police personnel are not injured during public outrage," the chief minister said.
