Kolkata, June 17 -- The West Bengal Tourism Department is set to create a comprehensive database of tourism stakeholders, including tour operators, property owners and hospitality operators, and make the information available through a mobile application, Tourism Minister Shankar Ghosh said on Wednesday.

Ghosh was speaking on the sidelines of a meeting of tourism industry stakeholders in Salt Lake, Kolkata.

According to the minister, a key component of the initiative will be the creation of a statewide database covering all stakeholders connected with the tourism ecosystem, including tour operators, hoteliers, transport providers and other service partners.
