Visakhapatnam, June 4 -- A World Bank team on Thursday held discussions with officials of the Greater Visakhapatnam Municipal Corporation (GVMC) to assess the city's development potential and infrastructure requirements as part of the proposed City Economic Region (CER) under the Visakhapatnam Economic Region (VER).
The review meeting, held at the GVMC Head Office here, was attended by a three-member World Bank delegation led by representative Abhijit Ray.
The team is undertaking a comprehensive study of Visakhapatnam's urban profile and future infrastructure needs to support planned economic and urban expansion.
